Page Transcript:

Panel 1:

Corva, the Paladin, and the teenagers enter a storage room with shelves full of magical items, arcane artifacts, tomes and grimoire.
Corva: "The children of this land have a deep and abiding respect for animistic spirits. Using dream nets to capture one would be blasphemous to their eyes."

Panel 2:

Close-up of the shelves, revealing magical artifacts, weapons, and trinkets. All are some strange combination of modern mundane objects and magical items.
Corva: "Nor is this the first object of unusual craft that has come to my shop of late. Several of my regulars have pawned items like your cage. Artifices that utilize magic for means that violate the principles of its origin."

Jason: "Sick!"

Panel 3:
Owain surveys the items.
Owain: "Where did they get them?"
Corva: "A wise proprietor knows what questions not to ask. However, most related to me that the items were acquired from mundane humans."

Panel 4:
Owain: "We need to contact everyone who brought in one of these things so we can backtrack where they’re coming from."
Corva: "My regulars value their privacy, Owain."

Owain: "If someone is creating magical items and giving them to mundane humans, it’s a violation of the veil."

Panel 5:
(Corva, thoughtful, considers the request.)

Panel 6:
(Corva makes a decision.)
Corva: "I will ask if they’d be willing to make your acquaintance.

I do value your patronage as well, after all."
