Panel 1
Owain leads the group into the Goblin Market, Vangel and Jason gawking at the variety of mythical people and magical items they are surrounded by.
Owain: "Once upon a time, the existence of magic and 'mythical' beings was no secret.
It was not, however, a peaceful coexistence."
Panel 2
Owain walks past an anthropomorphic pig-man fae creature who is examining a mask from a mask merchant.
Owain: "Humans encroached into wild places, while mythical people and predators preyed upon humans on the fringes."
Older man (narrating, continued):
"A sort of peace was achieved when representatives from the courts of Charlemagne and Faerie agreed that their respective interests were best served apart."
Panel 3
The pig man’s image blurs and shifts as he tries on the mask. The group continues to walk past behind him.
Owain (con’t): "They called it 'The Veil'—an enforced separation of the magical and mundane worlds."
Panel 4
The pig man’s image is now perfectly disguised as a human.
Owain (con’t): "Practitioners from every school of magic collaborate to construct a worldwide illusion that shields anything mystical from human eyes."
Panel 5
Jason continues to stare behind him as the group continues on.
Jason: "Is that why I couldn't see the tree guys at first?"
Lukas (smirking): "Or you're dense."
